10,000
The original NFT project. CryptoPunks launched the movement that redefined digital ownership. For NODE's grand opening, we present all 10,000 punks across our LED architecture.
Exhibition Concept
10,000 presents the complete CryptoPunks collection as a singular, living artwork. Created in 2017 by Matt Hall and John Watkinson of Larva Labs, CryptoPunks established the template for profile picture NFTs and proved that digital assets could hold cultural value.
NODE's LED architecture allows us to display the entire collection simultaneously—10,000 unique characters, each 24×24 pixels, forming a mosaic of early crypto culture. The exhibition explores themes of scarcity, identity, and the emergence of digital collecting.
As NODE's grand opening exhibition, 10,000 signals our commitment to showing historically significant work while honoring the community that made digital art's institutional moment possible.
